Legal framework of cooperation between Romania and Russian Federation

Bilateral legal framework of co-operation between Romania and Russian Federation in political, economical, cultural and other fields. The most important documents signed after 1991 are:
 
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian R.S.F.S. concerning economic and commercial relations and science and technical co-operation (Moscow, December 30, 1991).
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russia Federation concerning co-operation in the tourism field (Moscow, September 27, 1993).
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning co-operation in the fields of culture, education and science (Moscow, September 27, 1993).
  • Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation for avoidance of double taxation concerning the income and capital tax (Moscow, September 27, 1993).
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning promotion and mutual protection of investments (Moscow, September 29, 1993).
  • Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning the increase of transit gas pipes capacity on the Romanian territory, with the aim of increasing natural gas deliveries from Russian Federation to Romania and third countries (Moscow, October 25, 1996).
  • Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of Russian Federation concerning cooperation in quarantine and plants protection (Bucharest, May 3, 1997).
  • Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning co-operation and exchange of information in the field of fighting against violations of fiscal legislation (Moscow, November 25, 1999).
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning urgent notification in case of a nuclear accident and exchange of information concerning nuclear power plants (Moscow, November 25, 1999).
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning mutual recognition and assimilation of studies (Moscow, November 25, 1999).
  • Agreement between the Border Police General Inspectorate of Romania and the Frontier Federal Service of Russian Federation concerning co-operation in border problems (Bucharest, March 27, 2003)
  • Treaty concerning friendship and co-operation relations betwee.n Romania and Russian Federation (Moscow, July 4, 2003)
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of Russian Federation concerning co-operation and mutual assistance in customs problems (Moscow, November 13, 2003).
  • Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation on the legal regime of the Romanian military graves on the territory of Russian Federation and the Russian military graves on the territory of Romania (Bucharest, November 8, 2005)
  • Protocol between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation on the inventory of bilateral agreements concluded between Romania and USSR (Bucharest, November 8, 2005).
  • On October 4th, 2011, the Cooperation Program between the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research and Russian Ministry of Education and Science was signed in Moscow.
  • On October 4th, 2011 Ion Ariton, Romanian Minister of economy, commerce and business environment and Andrei Fursenko, Russian Minister of education and science signed in Moscow the Joint Statement  on partnership for Modernization.
  • On December 5th, 2011 in Moscow was signed the Implementing Protocol between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the Agreement between the European Community and Russian Federation on readmission.
  • January 13, 2012, in Moscow the General Prosecutor of Romania, Codruta Kovesi and General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, Iuri Ceaika, signed the Protocol on Cooperation between The Public Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
  • April 25, 2012, in Bucharest Minister of Education, Research, Youth and Sport of Romania, Catalin Baba, and Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russian Federation, Igor Remorenko, signed the Protocol on Cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport of Romania and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the field of education for the period 2012-2017.
  • The Agreement of amending of the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation concerning the mutual trips of citizens entered into force on August 16, 2012.
